Dear friends, today, on June 16, 2025, at a time when the world stands on the brink of nuclear war — when anxiety once again settles into every heart with the news from the Middle East and Eastern Europe — YouTube, one of the most influential platforms for sharing voices, deleted my channel "Hope For Peace." Without warning. Without the opportunity for dialogue. Only with the labels: “spam” and “scam.”
But my “spam” was a sheet of butcher paper on which I wrote with lipstick: “HOPE FOR PEACE.” And my “scam content” was silence.
On this channel, I had gathered over 60 videos from international news outlets in various languages — videos in which journalists from around the world shared the message “Hope For Peace” from St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your support and for the courage to stand outside the format.
Today, YouTube erased a digital archive of your voices for “Hope For Peace,” and my silent, daily witness between April 25 and May 18, 2025. You — reporters, journalists, photographers, and videographers — you became my voice. Thanks to you, the whole world saw and heard the message of “Hope For Peace.”
The message “Hope For Peace” does not belong to me — it belongs to all of us. Let us not allow a message born from pain and hope to be erased in a world that so desperately needs peace.
With our “Hope For Peace" message, I created a painting.
I made a frame from charred wood — a symbol of land burned by war. On it, I painted, in oil, the meridians of the Earth — to show that this is a globe, a global Hope For Peace. A hope for peace from the whole world.
“Hope For Peace” needs action.
Tell the story of the photo you took of Hope For Peace.
Tell the story of your conversation with Hope For Peace.
Tell the story of your own personal Hope for peace.
Be Hope.
Hope means to be active.
Hope for Peace means to be active for peace.
Thank you for being part of this story!
I call on artists, journalists, institutions, and all free people to be part of the global flash mob with the hashtag #HopeForPeace
Let everyone share their personal #HopeForPeace
